Lollipop Charts Are a Great Alternative to Bar Charts
A lollipop chart still uses length, you're still scanning the length of a category. But instead of a bar, you're using a line and a dot on the end. Lollipop charts are their own thing because you can make the thickness or thinness of the bar whatever you want it to be. It draws your eye differently than bar charts do.
