Jeroboam Reigns Over Israel
The second book of chronicles, chapter ten, the revolt against rehoboam. Rehoboam assembled a hundred and 80 thousand chosen warriors to fight against the house of israel. The king took counsel and made two calves of gold. He also appointed priests from among all the people who were not of the levites. Then jeroboam built shechem, the hill country of ephraim, and dwelt there. And he went out from there and built penuel.
