History as a Preparation for Leadership
The president of the united states is a history graduate. The big question about how do governments weel power? What are the limits of their rule? And what possibilities are open to subjects or citizens to hold those governments to account when they cross the line? These are all questions that are perennial, and i think everybody would agree that they are continue to be important. But thinking about these kind of questions through history sets historians up for being leaders in whether that's in technology, or industry, or teaching, or in government.
