The Importance of Running a Football Club as a Business
Do you think there's a misunderstanding among fans about how much a football club has to be a business? There is this strange divide, isn't there, between this huge passion for all of these teams? And then the reality of trying to make something that's in your case, many other clubs don't seem to do this to make a club that's financially sustainable. From my point of view, reconciling the two is the most important part of this job. If we run things well as a business, that gives us the best chance of getting the best results on the pitch, which then keeps the fans very happy.
