Is There a Maladaptive Response to Salmonella?

Cholesterol blocks IgA secretion because of plasma cells to home near gut. Would that be like a maladaptive response? Is there any advantage of? Well, you need the cholesterol to get there. Yeah. And then oh, by the way, if you have, and then they did a salmonella challenge. And if you block, if you block the pathway, you have more salmonella IgA. So the inhibition of cholesterol uptake by ECs, enhanced antigen specific IgA secretion. If you block these cholesterol as well to enhance that IgA secretion, you have less systemic salmonella dissemination.
