Jeff: I think all good painters know the rules on the paint can. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to obsess about them for 40 years but it doesmean you need to know them. Jeff made a kind of a link bait inflammatory post about Ferengi programmers making a reference to the Ferengis of Star Trek who used to have hundreds and hundreds of rules that would guide their behavior. He thought that was kind of a yelling fire in a crowded theater.
