The Tenants of Maoism
Mao brought with him, perhaps doing some part just to the circumstances of the Chinese revolution and the Civil War, an idea called People's War. He was from a rural background, so he enmeshed himself with the so-called masses. And this kind of leads us into another tenant of Maoism, which could be thought of as volunteerism - that people can achieve anything if they just put their minds to it.
