Can We Ban TikTok?
I think it's a really bad precedent when US policymakers in the future try to criticize another country for banning an app. Even if the government were able to sort of overcome those legal hurdles, I think that you would potentially have a serious political liability. Tens of thousands of people are directly or indirectly employed by TikTok. And I think that politicians are risking that contingent becoming more political.
