Ottomans became a much grander naval maritime power in the sixteenth century. They are able to play a very important role in politics, in trade and military matters. And we also have to remember the differences and how the different empires used their native peoples. We need to see if we're going to talk about an age of discovery, then we really ought to include what on in the east as well as what went on in the west. That's right?
