How Did the Vietnam War Influence the Counterculture?
The Vietnam War is absolutely central to this. The campaign against Vietnam becomes the defining feature of 1960s, counterculture and wider than that. It takes in a whole range of elements that are beyond the counterculture. In Britain that makes much less sense, obviously, because in Britain we do not have an involvement with the Vietnam War. Many people campaigning arguing that the British government of Harold Wilson should take a more definite stand against Vietnam.
