Multiple Hereditary Exastosis and Condra Sarcoma
Patients with multiple hereditary axastosis should be aluated regularly because they are a risked for malignant transformation to condra sarcoma. Pedunc lated legions are more often encountered in patients with solitary axastoses, whereas the sessile morphology is more common in patients with multiple hereditary exastosis. Jager ad all performed a prospective case series on 52 patients withmultiple hereditary ex astosis to see if there is a correlation between genotype and penotype. Their findings included that there were more individuals with greater than ten x astoses in e x t one individuals than in e xT two. Slightly over 60 % of the individuals had undergone surgery for their condition.
