How Tall Can We Go With Mass Timber?
In the 2015 IBC, it's possible to build timber frame structures up to six floors and 85 feet tall. In 2021 version of the IBC, we can go actually up to 18 stories in timber. The taller you go, the less timber you're allowed to leave exposed. But even seeing in the 2024 version of the code, for example, more timber will be able to be exposed.
