Overwatch 2: Announcing a Canceled PvE Mode

I think there has been a mixture of trepidation, but also hope that this thing would come out in a state that would justify the fact that they'd made Overwatch 2. The PvE mode was a big selling point for why there needed to be a sequel versus an update of the, a refresh of the existing game. Did games want to break this news? It's unclear to me. They seem like they had the most in-depth coverage of it from the start.
