i've worked in a technical field for a long time, and i don't know if anyone's had this experience. It gets to a point where you realize youv actually lost the thread of what they're saying. And so that's all down to how well the person is communicating technically. I think it's important that are we sort of own up to what we don't know. You come across as being more intelligent or more engaged in the subject if you really consciously ask questions about what you do and don't knows.
