The Key Components of Critical Theory
critical theory is supposed to be thoroughly grounded in an empirical understanding of existing social reality where that includes a complex and sophisticated understanding of power relations in existing social orders. I think methodologically critical theory really it precedes the whole ideal theory non-ideal theory debate that has been taken up some in political theory in recent years. So that's how I sort of define critical theory sorry there's third component I didn't get you which so there's the tradition sorry the methodology and then the third is the practical aim of something like emancipation.
