The Importance of Feminist Content on Television
I feel so aware that when I was growing up something like Roseanne sticks with me so much because it was such a breath of fresh air. But in general we've had so much more popular culture that has let women be anti-heroes if you will. The gatekeepers were predominantly men, white men. How are you going to put feminist content on television for people to see? It's just never going to happen. So I do think that the streaming boom has lifted a ton of voices and expose them to us that we would never would have gotten before.
