I was married to his mum and we divorced. We were going to go together as a family but I would have had to wait a year to be able to get legal aid in residence anyway. But it didn't work out and she didn't want to take him. So I never saw him for 22 years and nine months. He got deported to England from America because he'd done time in America, got involved with gangs and drugs. And because he was only an alien resident, they said, well, you're not going to try and read a normal life. They deported him to England through the prison as a broad kind of organisation, who then put him and others in a crack house
