The History of Sandomang, Part I
Most of the literature written by French historians for a very long time was only based on French archival sources. So my French colleagues didn't want to go and read things that were in British or American or Spanish archives. If one really wants to understand what everybody was thinking and indeed doing, one has to go to all of these different archives. And that's, to a limited extent, what I tried to do.
