mindfulness is like a muscle exercise. Theta locking builds the ability to block your attention on one thing and hold it there. Davidson's research has shown that when you go to other tasks that require sustained attention, you go into the theta pattern more easily while doing them. So and that's what you see in intense work in flow states. It's for different reasons hard to tell if people are in flow when they're doing these EEGs.
