The Importance of Spiritual Poverty
The average poor person has more living space to live in than middle class people in Europe and other parts of the world. Poverty today is spiritual poverty, poverty of the spirit where people have adopted certain kinds of pathological lifestyles. Public dependency, crime, illegitimacy, family breakdown are devastating things but it's no more material poverty that I saw.
