Trans Rights - and Wrongs: The Closure of GIDS
Byline Times Podcast
00:00
Introduction
The Tavistock was Britain's leading gender identity development service for children. The number of referrals increased dramatically from fewer than 100 in 2010 to more than two and a half thousand in 2018. That coincided with the decision to lower the age at which puberty blockers were prescribed from 15 to just 10. We'll be hearing from Hannah Barnes, whose book Time to Think is published by Swift Press; and Tyler, who transitioned from female to male with the help of the Tavistock.
