The CIA Conspiracy Theory

Jones Town was part of the secretive Project MKUltra, also known as the CIA Mind Control Program. The goal of the project was to help the government create tactics that could be used to manipulate classified intelligence from a high-profile asset. Patients were subjected to various trials and tests like hypnosis, sleep deprivation, verbal abuse and isolation. They were also given extreme doses of LSD and other drugs, including barbituets, which Jones was addicted to.
