In 2010, when the Bitcoin white paper came out, somebody sent it to me. The phrase that caught my attention was peer to peer currency. It totally made sense to me that you could have a world of people all contributing to a common goal. And so I lit up this minor and then it was computationally intensive on an old PC with some other stuff.
