What strikes me from reading your book is the amount of times that roumania essentially oscillated between ra ms and ideological extremes. Why do you think that is? Yes, well, tha, it's a good question. And underlying all these really, is the desire that we have already spoken about, to defend the vulnerable borders of rumania. It finds itself on a very important fault line between east and west, not just in terms of military campaigns, but in terms of philosophy and religion.
