Hormesis is this process where they've noticed, I think about a century ago, that you can give to an organism, you give a little teeny bit of poison. It will actually stimulate the organism. The organism will do better, but you giving a little bit more, and it dies. And that got me to thinking about this whole phenomenon, which Mae West described as too much of a good thing is great,. But most things, almost everything else in the world, you get too much of, and it's bad.
