The Role of Memory in Patient Psychopathologies
I don't know what is reality when a patient comes in with those sorts of reports. I know many times I feel to myself, this just doesn't pass the sniff test. And oftentimes, the more sort of elaborate and bizarre the memories are, it doesn't tend to connect with reality as I understand it. We see just from the recording that that family's got a lot of stuff going on. And so we know that they come from a lot of spin, something's going on there. These memories are notoriously inaccurate.
