The Need to Protect and Conserve Animals in the Middle Ages
In late mediaeval and early modern london, a red kites and ravens were very common on the streets. But even though people didn't like them, they weren't persecuted. I think people just left these ravens and redkites alone because everyone agreed that they were quite useful to have. They provided eko systems services, as we would say to day. Am travellers to to london thought that there must have been a huge er, a huge penalty for killing ravens andredkites. And actually, i went looking for the law, and i can't find any law at all.
