Are the Romans Inspired by Other Cultures or Religions in Greek Mythology?

Gilgamesh is the most obvious, but there are plenty more lurking around. The phoenicians, am mesopotamia, as they would have called it, am and am,. all these kinds of ah cultures that the greeks can get to remember. It's a seafaring culture, so if you can sail to it, they'll go there. And that means stories will be told. There being created, recreated and innovated from the very earliest tellings we have.
