The Importance of Purity in a Conservative Christian Culture

I was raised in the conservative evangelical church, also raised in purity culture. I was a missionary that worked with sexually exploited women. It was through years of working with these women and also just women and general girls who had been abused. And I realized there was a huge tie between patriarchy that was so beloved by my church and the abuse these women were experiencing.
