The Governor's Creative Editing Move

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers used a creative editing move to make sure that public schools in his state are funded for the next 400 years. Without adding any text of his own, he removed what you see in red and by removing some words and numbers and a hyphen,. You put it all together and the result is the bill calls for $325 per student from 2023 through 2004, 25, or 2425. The original budget called for Wisconsin schools to get a little extra increase of $325 per students for only the next two school years. He purposely removed that to extend it 400 years.
