I think he is very, very, very badly damaged, quite probably terminally. The only thing you have to factor into this is that the decisions that people make in elections are not made in a vacuum. So there is that aspect to it. And maybe party gate will seem a long way away, but my own feeling is he is too damaged for the tories to want him to fight the next election. There is some stuff going on behind the scene. Soundings are being taken with m ps and donors. But apart from jeremy, who essentially said this week he is going to rome for the leadership, everything is still behind the scenes. If we do get that confidence
