The Congo-Asean Railroad

The Congo Ocean Railroad was constructed in French Equatorial Africa from 1921 to 1934. Over 100,000 men were used to build it and the reason for this was that it was primarily constructed through an area known as the Maillamb. It is a kind of mountainous area, inland from the coast, from the Atlantic coast of Congo,. That's very mountainous, very dense forests which made construction difficult.
