Love Poems Are Not Easy
I would say I wrote probably 100 poems over the decade that it took to get this book together and a lot of poems, I just needed to write for myself. But yeah, I did have that navigation of like, oh, am I complicating there? Am I showing enough about that? The book is not about the relationship. It's about the after. You read anything still feel so surprising to me. And they take a lot of discipline, a self discipline, because you're having to really balance your ego and the other.
