The Intensity of Interaction in the Near East

There are all sorts of intersecting holy wars taking place, which brings about a great deal of conflict. You also have various sacred sites across the Near East places like side Nia to the north of Damascus or the chapel to Mary mother of Jesus in Tortosa among other pilgrimage locations. And so you do have these sites where Christians, Muslims and Jews worship side by side because they all have a reverence for that particular site. There's also lots of examples of interaction and plenty of occasions as well when Christians and Muslims fight on the same side.
