How to Choose the Right Speaker Stand for Your Home Studio

SBIR is something called speaker boundary interference response. It's basically the low frequencies hitting the front wall and then bouncing off of the front wall into your ears. So by putting your speakers right up against the front wall, so there's literally almost no space at all, you're going to greatly reduce the amount of SBIR that you're getting. You want the stands to be so heavy and so strong that they can't move easily. And you also want them sort of decoupled from the floor.
