A third of children in temporary accommodation don't have their own beds. There's no room to play and nowhere for a baby to crawl, says Polly Fletcher. One 16-year-old girl was doing her GCSE revision on the toilet with textbooks nearby. The problem is not all homeless people are ex offenders or drug users. It's worrying for families but single mothers aren't particularly badly affected by it.
