The Six Points of the Charter
The first point of the charter was always going to be adult male suffrage. The idea was that you were an adult when you were 21 and they felt that there should be no taxation without representation so every man should be entitled to a vote. After that because elections were very corrupt in this point in time they were very very keen to have secret ballots. They did not want a property qualified so they didn't think there should be a property qualification so that was another one. It had of course been intended to be just adored suffrage but of course they cast it as adult male suffragettes too.
