During the years of 1789 and 1799, a bloody revolution was fought in France. The French Revolution was spurred by injustices from the Catholic Church and nobility known as the first and second estates. Three major factors could be traced back to the imbalance of power held by the Catholics who controlled two-thirds of the government.
