The Importance of Patient Safety
The process is very like tiring and very time consuming because we as nurses don't want to contaminate ourselves basically. Most patients, not most, but a lot of them aren't cooperative in some sense either. And it feels bad to be denying the patient certain things that they ask for, but also on the other hand, you guys kind of have to in some cases. We have had a patient who is a STEMI patient, like basically having a heart attack. He actually ripped out his IV and ran out of the hospital. Oh my God. That's insane. Wow. I imagine there's just so much stuff that you have to put on just to protect yourself and other patients
