What's So Wonderful About Manuscripts?

The mediaeval manuscript page has a very different visual language to modern printed text. It doesn't have the crisp cleanness that we associate with the modern printed text, and it just looks very different. One of the things that ar difficult about manuscripts is that they are very inaccessible, right there. But what's so wonderful about writing about manuscripts now is that so many manuscripts are now being digitized. And so you or i, emily, could sit at home in our pajamas, er and look at the berwulf manuscript, say, in inner level of magnation that would be impossible even in the reading room.
