The Power of Emotional Communication in a Book
Gitz: One of the things, one of the ways you can mask the fact that you're passing information to people is through the point of view of the character. Gitz: As a writer, I think that just giving us the information in a paragraph should be your last resort. The way you can help the reader not feel like they've just wandered into an encyclopedia is by having the character have a reason for thinking about that paragraph. And if you can do that in relation to a conflict or something like that, it will often feel much more organic.
