The Ocean Drawn in Pencil
Iris Murdoch has been obsessed with art museums and her characters often go into them looking for an affirmation of life. I was really interested in having the poem become its own painting, making the private collection, the public museum. So there's a detail of this poem as its own poem. And I think going back to self portraiture that also goes back to Trita, who's a huge influence and also Madonna.
