The world in its best form, especially amongst human beings, should be about merit. It should not be about forcing equality via government edict. Effort, immaterial. You worked hard and your neighbor didn't do anything and sat on his butt. By order of edict, you are equal. That is a horrible, horrible progression that we've arrived at in today's modern day humanity.
