In 19 68, it was danner literal, literally man power and time to flip through and read all these cards. So they dump a ton of time into trying to match this gill to a missing person report,. but they come up with nothing. They eventually have her buried in an unmarked grave while they continue their investigation. And ten days later, everyone is totally blind sighted when an anonymous call comes in to police that a person is saying, the girl you have, tent girl, is not the girl you think she is. That girl is still alive.
