What's So Special About 9/11?
Abuelaj: The attack was like against innocence in both senses, right? People in the World Trade Center who were normal people going back their daily lives. But I'm not sure it ever appropriated or spoke in the language of victimhood in a certain way. And maybe what 911 and the wars that followed did was hold it together for a while.
