Filipino sailors sent an estimated six and a half billion dollars back to their relatives at home during the pandemic. The country is home to around 400 000 seafarers more than a quarter of all those in the world. A seamen on a cargo ship might earn up to about two thousand dollars a month but collectively in 2021 Filipino sailors will have sent over $6billion, says Abel Seaman Aldwyn Ford-Males. "We are resilience in every aspect we don't surrender in some difficulties we will fight in bounce back"
