Florence Bell was first woman to be elected to fellow the Royal Society. She made a splash in the headlines, but sadly it wasn't her science that caught the eye of the local press. Asprey had this tendency sometimes to get overexcited and let his ideas go racing ahead of what his data was telling him. He met his match because he actually called his devil's advocate because Florence Bell had this willingness to challenge him.
