O’Keefe pleaded guilty in 2010 to a federal misdemeanor for entering federal property under false pretenses, which the judge referenced in his ruling as "crimes involving 'trespassing' and ‘deceit.” Under the Trump administration’s new Pentagon press rules, that should have prevented O’Keefe from receiving a press pass, but the administration granted him one.
