How to Use Your Smartphone to Make Art
The minute you turn off the connectivity of your phone, suddenly it can become more of a tool for you instead of a distraction. I think that's sort of the problem that a lot of artists have right now is that our tools have never been able to distract us from our work for what they do now. But also one of the things you realize when you read about Nina's work is that airplane mode doesn't have to just be on the airplane. So what she's figured out is a way to use her smartphone to actually make art instead of just distract herself.
