The Importance of Studying Your Predecessors
I think comedians are very interesting about that where it seems like comedians are always very willing and able to talk about who came before them. And there seems to be a tremendous amount of studying as well in comedy. I'm not necessarily sure it's a direct connection between the very different domains. But why don't you speak to the idea of studying your predecessors? Many people like to imagine I must invent it out of whole cloth, I must come up with it on my own. There's been a lot of people before us that have done really well.
